How to stop biting myself...?

When i get angry or annoyed, i bite myself. I usually bite down on my fingers or arm. I do it multiple times daily. Whenever someone does or says something thats annoys me, makes me mad, or makes me sad (which is constantly) i have to do it. I don't have scars or anything, just bruises sometimes. How do i stop? Also, i'm a 15 year old girl.

  1. Maybe buy a stress ball?  Then when you get really mad just squeeze it instead of biting yourself.

  3. I used to do the same thing!  My little brother and sister would annoy me so bad that I would bit down on my arm, right above my hand.  I stopped because the one time I bit down so hard, I gave myself a bruise that took weeks to go away!

    If someone says or does something that annoys you, you should speak out and try to resolve the problem.   Keeping things inside isn't healthy and neither is punishing yourself by biting.  

  5. start to cut yourself and you'll realize its worthless

  6. Get false teeths, so if you feel like biting you can just take them out an become GUMBY! Thank god your not a vampire.

This can become a habit and I would suggest that you have a chat with your parent, don't continue without letting them or another adult that you are close to you.  I don't mean to give you the impression that you are too young to deal with it yourself, it is not your age that is in question it is expertise that is required to help you break the habit.  It is your way of dealing with situations but it is not a good way, think of it this way why hurt your body it didn't do anything to hurt you and besides your body is like your transport, take care of it and it will take care of you.   8. why dont you bite something else, or squeeze, a foam ball, or tie elastic band around ur wrist and ping it everytime you wanna clench your teeth. Or maybe do the washing up furiously or something.

  9. chew gum or carry something else you can bite instead. i suggest bubble gum.
