I played about 3 games on madden and the scoreboard was burned in. then, i put in GTA and played for about 15 seconds. I paused the game and turned off the 360 and the map was burned in! and also the xbox 360 dashboard got burned in while i was switching the discs

  1. On most HDTV's the remotes have a button that says defrost or a word similar to that meaning, if your remote has the button press it and you should be all good to go. good luck :)

  2. The first 100 hours will be the worst for getting burn in but after that it should be fine if it is a new model

  3. sell and get lcd...

  4. There is an option on the remote control or in your menu settings that will allow you to access a white or gray screen which will help get rid of the burn in, but honestly, this minimal amount of burn in is nothing to worry about. The best way to get rid of burn is to just watch TV or something else which does not have something steadily positioned on the screen.

Burn in overall is not really an issue to be concerned about. What you are describing is not going to be permanent and like I said, will probably go away once you stop playing video games and go back to watching movies and TV. The only circumstances where burn in will remain permanently on your screen would be if you left the still image on the screen without moving it for several hours or days at a time.

Since your TV is newer, it more than likely has a new form of technology called pixel shifter, which will keep the same pixels from being used over time.

Also, over time, plasma's lose their sensitivity to still images and after about 400 hours of view time, the susceptibility to burn in will begin to fade.

So don't worry, your burn in issues more than likely are not going to do permanent harm to your TV and honestly, there is nothing you can do to make it stop burning in while you play video games. It's going to happen and the best thing would be to switch up the game after an hour or two.

    Hope this helps!
