How to stop calls calls here that have no number?

I have picked up the phone on several occasions , but nothing, sometimes it sounds like an office [ i'm not on Virgin or Bt]

Cold calling!!  Get in touch with TPS and they will put a stop to it.

The TPS cant stop the call they can only advise you what to do and that is if the same company calls more than 3 times you take details and raise an action through the small claims court against them - which you pay for.

you have got to register with the TPS service first.

The conact your hpone line supplier and ask to block all anonymous calls, they charge for this service circa £3 per month, but after 3-6 momths they should have got the message. if your friend calls you they will need to relese their caller id. 1470 from a land line

that should cure it!

phone up directory enquiries and they can block telemarketing calls for you.....u just have to update it every 12months.

Contact the Mailing Preference Service and have your number removed from all databases. It takes a while for them to stop but they will eventually.

phone your provider and ask them to block all witheld numbers then theres no unwanted numbers calling you

sounds like an automated call centre, they will call many numbers at a time and talk to the first person to answer.

Your phone company should be able to help you block them.

One of the only ways to deal with this problem is, get yourself a caller ID manager!!
