  1. There is a very good chance this is a medical condition. This is what most cats do when they have a problem. Since they can’t talk, it's the only way they have to tell you something is wrong. Now it's your turn to act on the information she is providing you and resolve the problem, whatever that may be.

    Factors Contributing to Inappropriate Elimination

    •  Medical Conditions: Cats avoiding the litter pan should be examined by a veterinarian to rule out a medical condition. Laboratory tests will need to be performed in most cases, however, if a condition does exist, immediate treatment will help resolve the behavioral problem. Possible medical conditions include: colitis, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, kidney or liver disease, or feline lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD). Medical conditions such as arthritis, FLUTD, anal sac disease, and some forms of colitis, which cause pain urinating or defecating may also result in inappropriate elimination

    •  Stress: Cats of all ages experience stress at some point in their lives (just like us). Stress can be a major cause of inappropriate elimination, and known stressors such as moving, changes in routine, or changes within the family structure (new members added or family members leaving home) can result in inappropriate elimination. Reducing these stressors or decreasing their impact on the household will benefit your cat and you, too.

    •  Box Location & Contents: Some cats may not like where their box is located; too close to their food or water, in a high traffic area, or on a different level of the house than where they spend most of their time. Some cats are very particular and will not defecate in the same box in which they urinate or go into a box which has been used by another cat. Most cats do not like a dirty litter box. Clean out waste from their litter boxes at least once daily, and wash the litter boxes weekly so that they don't decide to eliminate elsewhere in your home.

  2. If they've already peed there, they will pee again. If it's carpet you need to cut away the spot the cat peed on, or else it's likely the cat will pee there again. They can smell where they pissed before no matter how hard you scrub.

  3. You can by a spray or a liquid from your pet store. You put it on the spots you cat may pee. You also may need to take your cat to the vet. Animals can't talk so this may be their way of telling you something is wrong. It could be as simple as a behavior issue (your vet can prescribe your cat a pill to modify his/her behavior),you cat needs to be spayed/neutered, or it may have an infection. Consult with your vet before you make any decision.

  4. is he/she spayed or neutered, if not this needs to be done cuz he could be marking his territory, the other is he may have a urinary track infection this will cause the cat to go other places instead of the box, a vet visit may be the best thing

  5. There's a spray called feliway it sold by vets or you could pick some up online it made to help stop the urine spraying in cats. How it works it has the same scent as when a cat rubs up against you and marks his terorory that way rather then the spraying. Also very good for introducing a new cat into a catless home.

  6. I'm assuming you've got a litter box for them so take your kitty cats and put them in the litter box.  Pick one of their paws up and dig in the kitty litter.  Next time you see them doing that or come home and they peed somewhere they shouldn't have, just put them in their littler box and do what I said to do above.  Also, if it's one specific spot like in a corner, moving the litter box to where ever they are going can help also. Sometimes they like one and only one spot. Hope this helps!
