Question:

How to stop comparing myself to others?

I have heard before that if you want to be happier, have higher self-esteem...all those good things...that you should not compare yourself to other people. But how do you stop doing that??

  1. This is how I look at life......

    I am myself, I am different, I have my own beauty, I have my own soul, I have my own life. If everyone looked alike, if everyone liked the same things, we would all be the same. It's hard not to compare yourself to another, but you gotta look into the mirror, find something that is different and unique about yourself that you like that no-one else has. Take me for instant, there are women who have beauty marks on their cheek or lip, mine is located almost centered on my forehead, it's a very nice mole and I get allot of compliments on it about how it is so different and unique. That is my favorite thing about myself that I can brag that no-one else has. I also have these philosophies......

    If you don't like what I'm wearing....don't look at me..

    If you don't like what I say....don't talk to me....

    If you dont' want to be my friend...who cares..there are more fish in the sea.........

    That is how I look at life.

    Comparing yourself to others won't make you happy, and have high self esteem.

    I think i'm useless.Just think

    of you're own self as a great person.

    Just believe what you think you are.

  4. Start focusing on your good qualities things you now your better than anyone else and be proud of yourself  

  5. It has become a hard wire connection. You must try to focus on something else.

  6. Try not to compare the way you feel inside to other peoples outsides.  Just because they look or "seem" to have attribute you want, doesn't mean that's their reality.

    Many people who appear to have it all together, don't like themselves at all.

Most of us compare ourselves to others at some point in our lives.  It's not a problem unless  it interferes with your life.  An example would be.  If you don't  to try and do things,  because you think others do them way better.   Just remind yourself that we are all different.  We don't all look act or think the same.

You probably need to quit this because you are around people that you're jealous of.   Jealousy is a very hard thing to destroy....and you may need professional help.  One way to overcome this is to do something nice for another person every day that NO ONE knows about. Keep the secret. As you DO more and more for others...you will build your own life to a better place!  Good luck and God Bless!

  10. People natural see more of the faults in themselves than anyone else. So I suggest you ignore your faults, and focus on your strengths.
