  1. Damaged hair is dry, brittle and rough to the touch, it is difficult to comb, hard to manage and looks quite dull.

My hair got damaged from years of abuse and neglect.

I use isoplus natural remedy tea tree and aloe conditioner, anti-breakage scalp therapy, it heals abrasions and scalp irration, helps itching and dandruff, stimulates hair growth and mosturizes and helps dry damaged hair.

I've heard carrot oil treatment helps split ends and also the link below may help too

  2. deep conditioner and buy stuff that adds moisture to your hair. you can get stuff at like cvs

  3. You can check if your hair is damaged by observing the state and condition of your hair

    1) Does your hair look and feel dry

    2) at the ends, is your hair splitting into two pieces

    3) When you pull the ends of your hair they snap off

The only suggestions I can say is everytime your hair needs a wash use a really good conditioner and leave in for 10 minutes, lather yourself in it and then rinse out. Use a protection spray when blow drying or using any heat and leave your hair to get healthier.

To get rid of split ends and damaged hair in the long run, ask your hairdresser to cut them out slowly.. your hair will be in good state.

Dont worry you will not turn bald! Its just chemicals reacting on poor hair at the moment :)

  4. start using repairing shampoo&&conditoner by tre semme

u can get it at walmart

and u want to keep ur hair rele mositurized

  5. What has happened is that your hair is very dry from the perm.  I have had many perms and what really helps is to super condition it.  I would use strong moisturizing hair conditioner (Lexus Humectress or similar) and leave it in with a shower cap on for awhile.  If you don't have time for this, at least leave it on for a few minutes after washing your hair.

Also be careful not to shampoo your hair with harsh shampoos that will dry it out and leave your hair breaking further!  Most shampoos have the ingredient called sodium lauryl sulfate which is very bad for your hair even without a perm.  I stopped using shampoos containing this and my hair has gotten thicker and quit falling out.

You can find shampoos without this ingredient  in the health section of grocery stores, or online at www.iherb.com .  Their prices are about half of what the retail stores charge, and you can get $5 off your first order by entering the code PUB175 when checking out.

Another idea that you might consider down the road is a water purifier for your shower.  It will get rid of the drying chlorine especially if you wash your hair daily like I do!  And also stay away from coloring your hair when you have a perm, because it will dry it out further and cause more damage and hair loss.

    Hope this helps!
