  1. I used to have the same problem as you and I think a lot depends on the products you use on your hair.  A lot of the shampoos you will find in a supermarket contain a lot of chemicals and can be quite harsh on your hair.

Have you heard of a store called Lush?  I know they are in the UK and Ireland but I'm not sure about the US and other countries.  They use natural ingredients in all their products and I buy all my shampoos, conditioners, cleansers, toners, etc. from here because I know there are no nasty chemicals in them.

They have a shampoo called "I love juicy' for people like you and me with oily roots.  It's very good and it smells great too.  It's more gentle on your hair than a lot of other shampoos so it wouldn't strip so much of the natural oils in your hair.

I still shampoo my hair every morning but I put conditioner on maybe two or three times a week in the evenings.  That way my hair gets the benefit of the conditioner before I wash my hair the following morning because I find that conditioner tends to weigh down my hair as it's very fine and if I put conditioner on my hair in the morning it would make it appear oilier towards the end of the day.

You can order products from Lush online - here's the link to their website: http://www.lush.com/

I never buy hair products in the supermarket anymore, I get them all from Lush, I really recommend their products.

    Hope this helps : )
