How to stop horse problems?

Rearing can be a sign that either the bit is incorrectly placed, the bridle has not been adjusted properly, the saddle is incorrectly placed, there are spine or muscle problems, or that there may be behavioral problems. Have a vet do a recheck and make sure all equipment is properly adjusted. change the bit to a softer one and see if you can identify when he becomes irritated/nervous. Is it at a specific spot or at a time of day? Near another animal or a specific person?

    These can give you some important clues as to what's going on inside his head and body.
