My 3 month old kitten that we bought was scared of us at first.now she lets me and my girlfriend pet her and she's also very playful. The only problem is that, this our first night having her and she wont let us sleep. She keeps jumping on the bed and wanting our attention.

She wanted me to keep throwing the tennis ball back and forth so she can chase it.when I stopped she started meowing a lot.I took her off the bed numerous times at night but she keeps jumping right back on the bed,on both me and my girlfriend.

Is there anything I can do to stop my kitten from jumping on the bed when Im sleep at night?

  1. One thing your can do is lock her in a room, like the bathroom over night until she gets out of that phase.  Another thing to try is before u go to bed play with her for awhile, to get her tired.  After u played with her for awhile, feed her a meal.  Its just like a large cat.  They hunt for their food, which can be taken as playing with your kitten.  Then they eat there food.  After that they bathe and usually pass out for the day.  Make sure u dont leave food out all day for her so she will be hungry and want to eat right before bedtime.  Another thing is try to keep her awake during the day.  I do that to my cats when they want to sleep all day long.  I know that if I dont wake them up then they will keep me up all night.  Well I hope this helps out.

I wouldn't spray her with a water bottle.  She hasn't done anything wrong, she is just playful and u don't want her to get the idea that she isn't supposed to play, but do use a water bottle when she is bad.  they work wonders just dont let her see it or she will learn that u r spraying her with it and everytime she sees u get the bottle she will take off and run.

  2. yes that was a good idea but u could also keep a spray bottle and when she jumps up on your bed just give her a spray and eventually she'll get the idea and leave u alone. When I sleep at night sometimes my cat plays with my curtains and opens them so if people walk by they can see into my room. So I started spraying him with the water bottle when he started playing with them. Now he leaves them alone and sleeps with me instead.
