My 15 month old son was sleeping through the night but now he goes to bed at 6:30-7:00pm and at 1:30-2:00am every morning wakes up wanting to play and wont go back to sleep. He only has a 2hr sleep during the day.

  1. OK well 2 hours is enough sleep for a nap but maybe you should give him a nap around 12o'clock because if it is like 1 or 2 he will of slept then when he goes to be he is tired but then when he wakes up he might think it is morning and time to play

  2. My son was doing this for awhile. He would expect for his dad and I to get up and play with him too. I started cutting his naps during the day shorter and he started sleeping through the night again.

  3. My 17 month old goes to bed usually around 7pm-8pm, and wakes around 7am onwards, some days he doesn't nap other days he has upto 3 hours, i am not sure why your son keeps doing this, maybe he doesn't need much sleep, try cutting the nap time down to an hour and putting his bed time to about 7-8pm, Good luck, they're little rascals at this age! lol ;)

  4. Don't let him sleep so long. Well, don't let him go to bed so early, I mean. Eventually he will be tired, and sleep through the night.

  5. keep his room dark.

leave a bottle or sippy with a little water that can't spill somewhere he can get to it.

don't put toys in his cot.

don't ansa him when he calls for you. unless you just say mummy is asleep.

  6. Make him take a nap around 1 or 3 pm, but only for 30 minutes. He should go to bed between 8-9 pm.

  7. You shouldn't encourage him first of all then make a strict rule of NO Toys at night. If that doesn't work you might try taking the toys out of his room.

  8. Shorten the nap time to 1 hour and put him to bed a little later, say 7:30 to 8:00. Make sure he eats something solid before bed(no sweets) & has milk, not juice with sugar , at bedtime.Good luck, he may just be a night owl!
