If you have some background processes going on in the background that you really don't need happening while the sims is on, the computer might slow down and crash, since it can't handle all of that jazz.

Iono, that's what happened to me when I had the sims. :\

If you download things like new hairstyles or items for your sims, the files might not be good ones, which could s***w it up for you. :o

It will be because you will need a newer computer with better memory has i had the same problem and had to buy a new base what cost 350 pound But there is a chance that it is something else get a pheshinal in.

if its ds buy a new copy and throw it in the bin-its a hacked version and is very bad

assuming you have lots of extra memory for the game, make sure disc is clean, defrag the files to free up space, dont have excess desktops running, even though not being used some things are running constantly in the background, these can be isolated and turned off by downloading quick start from the net, it sorts out what you really need running and enables you to turn things off!
