How to stop my eyes watering so much in the cold?

I play rugby but it's usually cold and windy in the evening in England and it makes my eyes water making it more difficult to see the ball and I have to keep rubbing them which is awkward and people think I'm crying and say patronising stuff like "Whats wrong buddy?"...

i am not sure how. i am from northern NY.. (Massena NY) and it gets below zero up there i know how you feel my eyes watered in the cold too, but idk how to stop it.
