How to stop nusience calls?

we are on bt and have been getting nuscience calls from an "not available" number we signed up to stop withheld numbers calling but it does not stop this is ther any thing else that i can use?

It may be that the caller is from abroad... Not much you can do unless you change your number.

And I am sorry that you are having problems, BT nuisance calls will assist you - call 0800 800 150 and ask to be put through.

What else can you do, well you can change your number, this would obviously work but people get attached to numbers. - not available will not be blocked by withheld as they are a little different. - Withheld - someone stopped the number forwarding. - Unavailable - the network could not get or send the number.

You could avoid the unavailable calls - you should not be getting many as the networks can pick up most.....

You should also register with the TPS - the telephone preference scheme.

changing your phone numer and making is non-published is the best way to go.
