I used a rash guard and I still got a rash. The rash is on the back of my neck. If any one could tell me if there is any other why to prevent a rash, please help me. Thanks.

  1. If your rashguard contains latex (natural rubber) you may have a slight allergy to it.  If so, switch rashguards.  Latex allergies get worse over time and can become very serious.

  2. I used vasoline years back but it put a stain on the rashguard.  Now I use a slightly more expensive rashguard (it's lighter and I think it has more nylon) with a higher neck.  It fits a little more snug.  Haven't had a problem since.  You might want to try one.

  3. I' ve been surfing my whole life and the only thing to prevent rash burn is vasoline (or what evr oil based product). I know it sounds gross, but just a little bit under your rash guard will go a long way. Now a days I dont go out without it. As long as you can stand vasoline!!!
