My legs are getting swollen, and I also pulled a leg muscle in my sleep!!! That is like the worse pain ever! Is there a way to make the leg swelling go away, any preventive measures?

  1. Eat less salt, drink more water, and stay off your legs as much as possible.  Try to keep them elevated when resting, prop them up on a couple pillows.

  2. Just elevate them when possible and limit your intake on sodium.

  3. Try to stay off of your feet as much as possible and avoid salty foods.  I had super swollen feet and ankles when I was prego. It didn't stop until after I gave birth.  It's all part of the joys of motherhood!

  4. Increase your protein intake to decrease swelling. Accidently skipping or missing meals during pregnancy can cause health problems. Always make sure you have water at your side to sip on. Have your doctor keep a close eye on your blood pressure. Best wishes, G

  5. keep you feet up hi, that is the best remedy and stop eating salt.

  6. Try soaking in warm water also. Continue to drink plenty of water. Also when ur laying down raise ur legs above ur heart (if u can) so that takes some of the blood away from ur legs. Take some tylenol to dull the pain. Tylenol is safe to take. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!

  7. OMG i feel your pain i am in the same boat as you. I am due october 13 and am 33 weeks pregnant. I never had my feet swell this bad not even when i was pregnant with my daughter this pregnancy has taken a toll on my body completely!! What helps is using comfortable shoes and ones that have alot of cushion!! Use sandals but the soft ones or else if you haven't gotten them already your feet will burn with blisters on the bottom from the weight you are caring. Oh and the muscle thing that hurts soooo bad its not even funny. What i see that helps is putting pressure on it or getting up and moving your leg alot it takes it away faster it still hurts like a mother but it helps ease the pain faster. Good luck with your labor and i wish you the best.
