Pool is filled to correct levels. What appears to be happening: as the water comes back into the pool from the filter, the downward force of the water through the jet is creating mini-whirlpools. As the whirlpools circulate around and eventually pass the front of the jet, the force of the downward water destroys the whirlpools creating this gurgling sound that is driving me nuts. I can turn the direction of the jet to the side, but the manual shows that it must be pointing to the bottom of the pool to create proper circulation.

  1. Ideally, you dont want your jets pointing at the bottom of the pool.  you want your jets to be pointing to the surface of the water and if you have 2 or more of them, you want them pointed in the same direction to create a circular effect so that when your pool turns on your pool will in like 10-15 minutes start moving in a circular rotation, this allows your skimmer to work more efficiently in keeping the surface clean if the water is moving around the pool.  Besides, if you keep your jets pointed at the bottom, when you need to clean it, any debris in your pool will always be moving and you wont be able to pick the stuff up with your vac.

So.. When y ou point your jets to the surface, you want to point them in a circular direction, and make sure the water makes a ripple effect on the surface, and the water needs to hit the surface about 2-3 feet from the return jet.  Reason for this is that the water wont be too powerful on the surface causing the debris and leaves to fall to the bottom instead of moving them around the pool for the skimmer(s) to pick them up and keep them trapped.

    Hope this information helps you.
