How to stop ticking?

for years now i have had small ticks but they are very annoying. for instance i will blink one of my eyes or widen them. lately ive been having to stretch my fingers apart and move my neck as if im trying to crack it. if i dont do this things its all i think about until i do it again and i feel a lot of anxiety. i was just wondering how i could stop this without going to the doctor. i dont have money for that right now so is there any tips on how to stop this annoying habit. thanks so much.

  1. Do you do this more often when you are under stress? I have a cousin who has an odd tic and it seems to happen more when she's angry or otherwise emotional. It sounds like you have mild OCD if you get anxious when you don't do it. It's probably your way of dealing with stress. You might try to get into another habit to replace the ones you have now - something you wouldn't find so intrusive.
