When I turn the tap, the water from the bathtub faucet flows which is expected. Then when I pull the tap so the water switches and flows through the shower head instead, there's still ALOT of water flowing from the bathtub faucet which is a total waste. I want all the water flowing through the shower head, not at both faucets at the same time. Can someone help me out? Thank you.

  1. replace the tub spout.

  2. you need a new diverter bath tub spout.

Here are a few tips. Most tub spouts are held in place by a allen head s***w on the bottom of the spout right next to the tile ot marble sides. You need to  get a allan wrench of the correct size to remove the s***w and then it will slide out easy, towards you.

If you have the kind of spout that is threaded in all you have to do is turn it counter clock wise to remove.

BEFORE you attempt any of these applications, you must turn off the water supply at the meter or  hot water tank so that the mains in the home are no longer "HOT"

This is just a keep it safe action just incase somethings comes loose in the wall.

    Hope this helps
