  1. I agree with the previous poster (mainly because I have an E21).  If your friends buy E30's and E21's and get the same power out of them, they will be significantly faster than you because they weight so much less.  Forget about straight line speed.  Who cares?  It's boring.  Update your suspension and tires and take those twisty roads hard!

  2. Check bimmerforums.com to get some ideas...

Make sure to save some money for repairs from the added power.

Here's a list of things that will wear out on your car

    Enjoy!

  3. You want to get to 215-220 stick a chip and an electric fan "turbo in" that will do it.  Keep in mind the heads and head gaskets are weak and short lived with the 2.8 of your generation as with most all "newer" BMW engines.  Adding "power" to the engine will shorten its life expectancy considerably.

LOL getting ahead of the game... The guys who are getting ahead of the game are the ones who accept that REAL Bmws and what they stood for (excellent engineering*) are way old.  Bacically if the cars body platform starts with a E2? its a REAL BMW if its a E3 and E4 its new bad engineered short lived junk. (few exceptions)

Good engineering is not what it can do but rather how long it lasts.
