  1. Yess. you practice intense for 2 hours everyday. Sometimes when theres double practice its 4 hours. as long as you build up to it (or dont if its the beginning of a season) 1/2 hour will do nothing harmful to you.

  2. It is harmful only when you become groggy, go completely out of breath or get a headache.  Go easy if you are obese,   have asthma or breathing problems. Join a swim team and get proper guidance from a good coach. The body will be harmed in any activity if you are not knowledgeable  of  your limits and the safety precautions. Enjoy your hobby but be safe.

  3. Yes it is very possible to do that. Because for swim teams, you will practice somewhere between 1-2 hours every day. All of which will be intense.

But first, you don't start off with intense unless your body is ready for it. It's the same with any sport. You start off doing something simple, say two laps across the pool. Rest then do it again. Repeat that a few times. Gradually increase, how hard you push your body every day.

Most importantly, before even getting in the pool. Stretch. Stretching is a great warm up for you muscles so they will loosen up.
