How to take care of a baby jumping spider?

i found this baby jumping spider, at least i think its a baby, its not the size of a nickel, its the size of a small, mediumish ant. I got a 1 by 2 by 2 foot plastic box for it. I layered it with sand and put some fake rocks in them. I also put in some ants half its size in it. Is that enough? And it always stays on the wall and ner the top instead of on the ground, does it take time for it to get used to its new environment?

  1. Let the spider go. They are probably better on their own...


  2. Sounds like its full grown to me, but there are quite a few species of jumping spider. Many are actually bred and raised to be pets. Jumping spider care is the same as the Wolf Spider (and there are many care sites on the net for wolf spiders.)
