i have a baby lion head. we've had him for a couple months now, and hes still really skiddish. and doesn't like to be held. he'll let us pet him while hes down on the floor but thats about it. also he has started biting. he chews walls, cords and anything else he can get ahold of. plus hes started nipping at people. is this normal behavior? any tips or advice on how to train him?

  1. My bunny is exactly like that when he was a little bunny. We got our baby bunny last year and he was the sweetest thing until about 2 months later he started biting and not like being held or anything but in about 5-6 months he will grow to it if you treat him nicely and not neglect him. He will become nicer sooner or later and my rabbit still doesn't like being held but most rabbits don't unless their at an early age.

Good luck with your bunny :)

  2. well im not sure if its normal????my baby bunny bit people when she was young but she liked getting picked up.......well my advice is to take her to the vet.GOOD LUCK

  3. is he neuterd that might explain it for the aggresian. but all bunnies are different they are like cats some could be the sweetest things by snuggling and very sweet but some could be very un social and not very happy. its  luck of the draw.

    i got lucky.

  4. I love Lion Heads.  I have two baby mini lops.  They are from a litter that my rabbit had.  They are very tame because I have handled them from the moment they are born.  Just make sure that you handle him often and every day.  Don't let him run free where he can get into things and bite things.  Small animals will bite if they smell food on your hand so make sure that you wash your hands before holding him.  Try to hold him a lot.  When you hold to him talk to him gently and reassure him.  My rabbit loves it when I pet his belly and my other one loves when I hold him close so try different positions.
