will have to first disconnect the battery cable from the battery so you dont get shocked,then remove the serpintine belt or the fan belt that goes around the alt,then remove the electical wires from the back of the alt. then you should have bolts that hold the alt,to the brackets,should be 1/2 in and 9/16 in nuts and bolts.depending on the type of engine you have.this is the best i can do with out knowing the type of engine you are working on...
