How to take your cbt

im nealy 16 now and want to take my cbt (moped test)

i know all about it what to do and its costs around £80

but how do i like sign up to do it or whatever do i go on

a wesite and fill in a form or go down the post office and pic

one up i dont know so can som1 plese exspleane all of this

to me thanx

allso do you need to have bought your bike to do it or can you use one at werever the place is like you can with a driving test

  1. First you need to apply for a provisional licence, which costs £50. You can apply online at http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Mot... or pick up a "Application for a driving licence (D1)" which they should have at a local post office.

    After you receive the licence in the post you just need to book a CBT with a company that does it, they should supply you with a bike for the day (included in the price), although depending on the company you may need to bring your own helmet. If you complete the CBT successfully then you can legally ride a 50cc moped, but make sure you have insurance, road tax, a L plate and make sure the MOT is valid.
