  1. Well, my niece kept straightening her hair with a blow dryer and a brush everyday and so my sis gave up and got her one...lol try that.

  2. See how much she is willing to pay you for the babysitting, add your own money in. If you still need more, ask her if you can do any extra chores around the house for the needed amount of money. good luck.

  3. You say, "Mom, can I get a new straightener?" and follow things through there.

And then you listen to some Nirvana:

  4. If you watched your sister all summer then you do need a reward or some form of payment...however the trick is to be calm. Don't throw a fit. Sit down with your mom and calmly say, Mom, I have watched my sister all summer and I would like to work out a sort of agreement with you. If she thinks that over a hundred dollars is too much for a straightener, she's right. I have curly hair and my straightener was 45 dollars from Target, its Remington and its fantastic. Aim high, but agree to settle for a cheaper model [just not bad quality] If you stay calm, act mature, and offer to pay part of it, she has a better chance of coming around.

  5. Well what you should do is you should ask her politely if you could please have the straightener If she says no then tell her that you would babysit your little sister and/or other chores. If she still says no then try and get a summer job or whatever and work up the money to buy it yourself.

    Hope it helped!

    :D

  6. explain to your mom that it really means alot to you before you go back to school. eventually she will probably come around.

  7. holy cow thats a lot of cash! my cuz has a huge fro and she uses this one,  http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d...   , it keeps her hair way straight for like 3-4 days. i decided to get one too and i know first hand it works really good, plus I got it for like 12 bucks at walmart so you could just buy it on your own. you should definantly get it.

  8. Well if it's your money you should be able to do whatever you want. You could babysit for other people's kids. Or you could ask to get it for your birthday.

  9. whoa thats pricey! There are some very good straighteners like CHI you can get the original one for like 80 dollars on amazon and the CHI brand is amazing! If that is too much you can get revlon or conair ceramic ones for half the cost yet they do the same job. Shop around before you spend that much money on a straightener.

  10. To answeres:

That Sedu straightener is rated number one on the list. CHI is number 7 and GHD is number 4, so don't try to

    talk this girl otherwise.

    To Asker:

Just ask your mom if you can have a reward for babysitting. Then tell her that you might help pay for some of it. You could also tell her that tyou'll try hard to keep and a or a/b average in school if you don't already.

  11. you really don't need a $115

    mine is $25 i think from wal-mart

its amazing i have curly hair and it stays all day

  12. And where are these great reviews coming from?

It's likely that you heard them on TV or in magazines and they weren't from people you know. So be careful, if you're only buying it because of that.

If you want it just because your old one's being dumb, check out Wal-Mart or Rite-Aid (I'm serious, don't laugh). They have some good brands for cheap. I got a curling iron there once and it worked really well for quite a long time.

If you decide you must have this straightener, tell your parents you decided you don't want them to buy it for you. You want them to pay you. Start saving any and all money you can get, do odd jobs, babysit your sister some more, sell stuff, things like that, and save up your money.

If all else fails go to http://www.naturallycurly.com. It's a cool website for people with curly hair and it has all kinds of styles and stuff to make it look nice.
