Also she poops alot is that bad or is it normal? Her name is scruffles but I call her scruffy for short. Also shes afraid of everything i put into her cage! Yesterday I put in a small piece of cloth and shes afraid of it. OH AND SHES AFRAID OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES!! How do I intro duce fruits and veggies? I tried giving her cabbage and lettuce and carrots butshe squeaks and runs away. But i fed her some fresh grass and it took her 5 minutes before she could accept it and see what it was and she ate them quickley!! shes young though but i heard its good to buy at a young age so you can train them. Shes an abyssinian with brown and white and gray. she also has Red eyes! CAn you help Me?? I want to tame her.

  1. Since she's young, it shouldn't be hard to tame her.  Start off by petting/talking to her.  Keep trying to feed her fruits and veggies - she'll soon realize that she loves them and will want them all the time.  But don't overfeed her treats like that.  Once a day is a good amount.  Pick her up at least once a day and let her run around in a relatively closed area.  You can start holding her too (if you're afraid of her biting you wear thick gloves until you're comfortable).  In no time your piggy will be easy to handle.

  2. http://www.gomestic.com/Pets/Usual-Pets-...

    read this link..

    handle her often

this is one of the MAIN PROBLEMS with buying from pet stores.. you get pets that are NOT friendly.. because they were bred in warehouse type situations... you should NEVER support this industry in the future, next time get your pet from a shelter or breeder...

  3. not sure sorry

  4. It would help if you got her a friend. A guinea pig from a Rescue/Shelter is a better choice. I don't know your location, but www.petfinder.com can help you find another piggy friend.

Consider adoption next time. Petland, petco, and petsmart all get their pigs from mils and bybs.

Start picking her up everyday. A guinea pig you pick up every day gets used to you.

www.guineapigcages.com can help you with what veggies to give. Cabbage is not the best to give your piggy. red leaf, green leaf, and romaine are good leafy greens to offer.

www.guinealynx.com is another good piggy site. It contains a lot of medical information.
