1)  Remember that this can be confusing.  Although the definition of "round" does include a sphere, it is not the most common definition.  It's best to call it hemispherical and describe that it is like a sphere.

2)  There really is not a lot involved with this.  It's more in the context of a larger presentation.  To make this exact point, show them a globe and let them feel it in their hands.  If you over complicate it, you're just going to make it harder for them to learn.
