How to teach driver's Ed in Texas?

I have a 15 yr old son, I will like to teach him driver's ed myself. Where and how do I do this? Do I need to register some where?

  1. you can do this.  just go to the tx dmv and click on parent taught.  For $20 they will send you a kit.  You can find free "classes" that you can print  off  on the internet.  One very important tip, whatever DMV you put down as the one you'll be visiting this is the one you HAVE to go to.  I assume you're in San Antonio and this is the busiest  office.  They told me that any of the other locations are  not nearly as busy as they are.  I actually drove all the way out to Boerne as you can get in an out of there in a few minutes normally.  Unfortunately I didn't register for there so my certificate that I needed from the state wasn't there so drove  there for nothing.
