Okay I don't really know much about how other people's sign of labor occurred but in the past 2 weeks ive been reflecting. About 2 weeks ago I think my milk came in. I was holding a baby 11 months, and I give her back to her mom and I noticed that I had a wet spot where my nipple was. The night before that I was swimming and my b*****s hurt so bad I had to take some Ibuprofen to make it ease up. That hurt. I went to the OB wed. and I have lost 4lbs in 2 weeks, don't know if that has anything to do with my gastric bypass or not, but ive actually been putting on weight until then. I have been on Procardia because I am a risk for preterm labor. Woke up yesterday morning, went to the bathroom for the morning pee and wiped and blood came out. Back has been hurting here for the past 3 days, achy pains and nothing makes it better. Went to the hospital after I seen that I was bleeding and they told me that my cervix is still a fingertip thick, whatever that means. Said they really couldnt tell why I was bleeding. It was a bright red blood with a yellow tinge. I didn't notice any snot like discharge with it, but maybe some of you might have an idea. I havent felt good for the past 3 days. I feel really worn out and tired, and really havent felt my son move much since last night. Do any of you have any ideas or stories you can share because I don't really know who all to ask and i would be on the phone with the OB's office 24/7 and he really doesnt explain things well to me. He has a dry sense of humor. Maybe someone can give me some enlightenment on what you think might be going on. Ive heard so many things I dont know what to believe... HELP!

Also took an OPK on 1-7-08 but wondering if you concieved 2 days prior to that if you would still be showing a positive on an OPK... or would your body be changing???

  1. It sounds like you are in labor. The blood could have been your mucus plug," Bloody show" And you seem to be having back labor too. If your water should break call your OB. When I had my son, my bloody show came first thing in the morning.and labor pains started four  or five hrs. later But my water didn't break until 11 that  evening , and he wasn't born until 8:15 the following morning. And he was two weeks late and my third baby. If your pains start to come regularly. time them. And if your water doesn't break, and your pains are about 10mins. apart call your Dr.  They may have to break your water at the Hospital. Once my water  broke labor started to move fast.Just try to relax and keep your Dr. informed.

  2. Dude Go to the hospital...you have high blood pressure that you take medication for. You have got to be kidding me about your doctor. s***w him and ask for the OBGYN on call. Tell him of your situations and see what he says. Its sort of like a second opinion...emergency style.

Take care of yourself and your baby. I hope you both turn out healthy.

  3. you need to talk with an MD. Tell your doc how you feel and let him know that you are not the one who went to med school and you really need him to break things down to you or your going to get another one that will take time to explain things to you. This is no time to take second guesses.slow down until you talk with a doctor and get some answers.
