  1. If these guys are small you have to wait till they get at least 4-5 months the roos start to crow also look at crowns the roos will be bigger they will also be bigger in size as they crow and will have longer tail feathers. The wattle will also be bigger most times this and crown will be a deeper red as well.

  2. there are crosses that can be told by color or feathering pattern at a day old but most of the time it's a job for an expert.........

  3. The female chick wears a garter belt.

  4. sorry to tell you but there really is No definite way of telling the s*x of your chick There is only one way of finding out for definite and that's vent sexing and that can ONLY be done in the first 24 - 48 hours . . or when it's older . . but by then you'll know =]

I'm afraid you'll just have to wait it out and look for the tell-tell signs of the chicken's s*x

eg male .. normally Brighter colours .. will crow at around 16 weeks. . normally bigger and more muscular . . then females tale feathers will develop . . and it will grow "spurs" on legs when it reaches sexual maturity Males chicks always grow their feathers significantly SLOWER then chickens

females on the other hand are basically the opposite . . will never crow . . duller colours (usually) . . will begin to lay eggs .at around the 4-6 months old . .and female chicks start to feather up QUICKER ten males . .

The only other way you can tell is if your chick is of an "auto-sexing breed" but i doubt it?
