My whole class is Catholic because my school is. Anyways I am Christina but not catholic But my religion and the catholics religion are basically the same. Im having a tough time telling teachers and classmates. Because when i tell them what my religion is they say 'huh whats that' and i really don't want to explain because my religion is not very well known. So how do i tell them because i get all shy and stuff when they ask. And i dont want then googling my religion then finding pictures of it and then making fun of it

  1. I'm not trying sound like a jerk, but seriously, if your beliefs are different than the masses your currently surrounded by, don't broadcast it. It will open up a can of worms and mockery.

  2. My dear "I love to surf"!

It is my oppinion that you should not worry about it.

    Be natural.

Prepare something beforehand, may be with some figures and tell tem.

Because you are as Christians as they are.

Don´t be ashamed and dont be shy.

Jesus will give you peace and the Holy Ghost will teach you.

    God bless you!

  3. Cristina is a religion?

  4. just say its not much different than theirs.

And did you say you are Christina or Christian?

And what exactly is your religion that they would make fun of you for it?

  5. You don't have to tell them anything.

Even if they ask, its still up to you if you want to tell them. You never know, you actually might find somebody else that isn't Catholic (you'd be surprized). What religion are you though? XD

Edit: Okay, Coptic Orthodox. That really isn't well known. I only learned about it a month ago. Just explain to them in laymans terms as best as possible if you have to. You still don't have to tell them anything. Religion is indeed a personal matter and technically nobody else's business unless you make it so.

  6. Well, I see no reason for you to disclose to them what your religion is if you don't want to.  It's not their business.  if they ask, you can say "Religion is a private matter to me."

Since you're refusing to tell us what your religion IS, I can't suggest anything more specific.

  7. Why say anything. If they ask your religion say Christian.
