  1. Are you talking about a software router?  This is not something used in home computers and would not come with  your computer.

Hardware routers are separate (not built in) from computers.  They are usually connected to your Internet modem.

  2. Computer technology news-

  3. Computers are not built with a router. A router is a device linked between the modem and computer for distribution of network to multiple PCs at all times.

  4. It doesn't.

  5. no computer has a router in it,,a router is an equipment use for local networks or simply to support multiple computers

  6. Computers dont have routers 'in them'.  They can be CONNECTED to a router, but a router is a separate box used for network sharing.

Follow the network cable.  If it goes directly into a dsl/cable modem then you do NOT have a router.

If it goes into a box with lights, then into another dsl/cable modem, good chance that IS a router.

  7. Windows Server 2003 can be set up AS a router, as long as you have multiple Network Interface Cards installed. The NICs need to interface different subnets and possibly have access to the internet to be used as a router. But generally speaking PC's do not have routers in them. You are possibly misstaking  NIC for a router.

    Cheers
