  1. Full HD is 1080p. This TV is 720p.

My HDTV is kinda the same. Even though your TV is 720p, it can play 1080i.

  2. If your TV is true 1080p, it would say so on a sticker somewhere on the set.  Just because it is able to display 1080i doesn't mean it is.  All HDTV, even 720p, can display 1080i.  The 720p just downgrades the video a bit.

You can determine the model number by looking behind the TV.  Then go to Samsung's website and look up the specs.

  3. If you are asking just to have an answer the model number would be a big help in figuring this out.

If you are trying to get the most out of your tv this is pretty much a non issue as you really need a screen larger than 50 inches to appreciate the difference between 1080p and 720p.

  4. Mostly all LCD TV come in 1080 but you should check your manual to see the highest resolution  it goes up to if you don’t have your manual just type in the brand and look in the back for the model number and look up the TV from the manufacture, but just because it says it gets 1080 dose not mean you are going to see 1080 the signal has to be transmitted in HD in order to actually see it in that resolution

  5. I can make this really really simple for you... I have an X-box 360 also and 3 HD TVs. A 720p, 1080i, and a 1080p. When using my 360, being sure that the cable is set to HD, it automaticly chooses the max output of your TV. So when I plug it into each of my TV's it will show 720p when on that or 1080p if I'm playing with the fancy TV. Sice your 360 says 720p, that must be what you have.
