How to tell if you have a rooster?

Okay so we have three chickens and I think that one is a rooster. However, I'm not entirely sure on how to tell. I know that people say that the sure-fire bet is that if they crow, they are a rooster, but in the last batch of chickens I had, we had a few hens who would crow. (Gender confused? lol jk)

So how can you tell if you have a rooster?

Thanks!

  1. if they have a white body and and red little dangly thing under their chin.

  2. A hen rarely crows but I know it does happen.  We have a hen with spurs.  The rooser will crow, have spurs, and it's tail will be longer than the hens...
