  1. You can't, thats the sad part. Ask your friends about the topic you think your parent might be brainwashing you about. I hopw you parents arn't serious about it.

  2. You question your own judgement and look to others to provide you with decisions rather than arriving at your own conclusions.

Basically, brainwashing is an attempt to force conformity to an external authority's ideology, with no input from the person involved.

  3. If you don't have a sound judgement and good common sense, you can't really tell when you're being brainwashed. That's why most people who join religions and cults are usually weak-minded and are more easily manipulated by others.

  4. They're brainwashing you if they're always trying to make you see things & behave one way. It might be an idea that others perceive differently, even you, but still they insist it's the best thing.

  5. what ever they are telling you research their answers for your self

  7. Do you believe very strongly in something, but have not really thought it through or questioned it?

  8. If you are being manipulated and threatened to believe something that isn't your idea.

Example, if your dad is Christian he may say, "I love you and want to see you get to heaven! Believe in God or you will burn for all eternity!"

If your Mom was atheist she would say, "You are wasting your life away believing in God! There is more to life than religion! Science proves God isn't real you must believe he isn't!"

  9. Relax. If you still have a dirty mind, then you haven't been brain washed.

  10. If your questioning it your prob not brainwashed. As long as you can think for yourself your fine. Check yourself if you ever rely on one person to decide things for you.

  11. Depends on which one has the soap and water first. LOL Just kidding think for yourself and you will be alright

  14. Brainwashing actually doesn't exist. Do some research on it. It was a theory made up to explain American defectors to Korea during the Korean war in the 50's. Since the Koreans were the "Evil Bad Guys," it just didn't sit with the American people that their soldiers would defect on their own accord.

Since then brainwashing has been debunked. Unfortunately, it lives on in popular culture, as does "don't crack your knuckles, you'll get arthritis," or "when you shave it grows back thicker."

  15. That's a stupid blame game that a divorced couple puts on their kids. You're not getting brain washed, your parents are just taking out their frustration on you, because most likely it is your fault that they divorced.

  16. Heh. I can't really answer this question beacause in a way, brainwashing is real and is not real. Of course your parents have different beleifs, so it can not really be said.
