How to tell if your tv is digital?

i have 2 tvs that are only 2yrs old or less.is there a website that you can enter info about them to see whether you need the converter box or not?thanks!

  1. The most accurate way is to look in the owner's manual or google the model number. What you are looking for is if the set has an "ATSC tuner".

    If you have a digital set, you may also be receiving digital signals now. They will have a channel number with a dot or a dash in them like 60.1 or 4-2 .

  2. basically if you have to use an antenna (the bunny ears thing) then you have analog. if its only 2 years old i doubt you need a converter box. check just in case though. if your tv now isnt fuzzy than it ISNT analog. thats one way to tell

  3. They need to have an astc tuner. analog will only have an ntsc tuner.
