How to tell my family and boyfriend that I was raped?

When I was 12, I was raped by a very close family friends. I never told my family, though my friends know. I found out years later, that the same man had also molested my two little sisters. My family for gave him and has allowed him back into the family circle. I'm scared to tell my family but I think it is important that I do, so that he will be away from my family. I'm scared about telling my boyfriend because he thought he was my first. I know a friend of his was raped when she was about my age and he was sympathetic towards him but I still don't know how to tell him. I could really use some help. Not just "tell them" answers. :(

Wow I can't believe your family forgive this monster for molesting your sisters. Do you think your family will stand by you? Since your boyfriend has a friend that was raped I'm sure he'll understand. It's not like you cheated on him. You were forced into doing something. I think the best thing to do is tell your boyfriend first. He can help you heal maybe he'll help you tell your family. I believe your family should have called the police when they found out he molested your sisters. Good luck I hope I helped.

well first explain to your boyfriend that you were only 12 and that it didnt mean anything. i know you dont want any tell them answers but that is what you need to do. i know it is hard but you have to explain to them. tell them you feel uncomfortable around him and to please not have him around. most likey they will understand
