I recently got into a buyer's agreement, but found out that my employer will be able to build a home for me instead, however the terms are no realtors. I didn't think i was going to be able to afford to build that is why I went into the buyer's agreement. Now that I can, what do I need to do to terminate the agreement?

  1. If the agent is a decent human being, she will release you today from your agreement. Why should she charge you for something she didn't obtain for you.

If she surprises me and fights you, you know you hired the wrong person to represent your interests... and...

you will have to wait until you are no longer entangled with her before you buy anything.

  2. The buyer's agreement probably has some contingencies to protect you like appraisal or securing a loan first.

  3. just tell them you have changed your mind and are not buying now as some unexpected expenses have come up

  4. Read your buyer's agreement to see if there is an escape clause.

  5. If you were my client, I'd let you out of the agreement without a catch.  Your possible referrals to me are not worth making you angry over something you didn't foresee.  Ask, see what they say.
