How to throw a fun hawaiian party?

My friend and I are throwing a hawaiian party this monday. We need some tips on how to make it excellent! We already have decorations and grass skirts and lei's. It's a teen party so how do we make it fun? Nothing inapropriate please!

-Make non alcoholic Pina Coladas, I love them!!

-Everyone can be welcomed with a lei.

-Serve plenty of tropical fruit, e.g. pineapple, mango, etc.

-If you have a deck, make a dancefloor with beaming music that is very beachy and fun, decorate it like from the ketchu song.

To make non alcoholic Pina coladas, I use coconut essence, cruched canned pinapple, milk,crushed ice and a dash of lemon juice blended, you'll have to fiddle with the porportions, because I don't really measure, and you may like them differently to how I do.

Well when I had a hawaiian party...

Food wise:

I did like fruit kabobs and cheese kabobs and because of like the "beacy ocean" theme we had some gold fish which was kinda cute i guess. other than that just like a few snacks should be fine.To drink we made up bowls of punch's and of course water.

Activities:

It's summer so you should be able to do things out side. If you have a pool use that for both day and/or night. otherwise during the day do something fun like water balloon fights and sprinklers on or something. or even better get a big tarp and fill it with soap and water and use it as a slip n slide.. it's sooo much fun! ... at night do like maybe do like a bonfire. but if your a teenager and your like me all i do at night i just like to chill and talk to my friends and stuff.

First off you can't give 15 points for best answer!  Only 10!!! LOL - That being said - do fruit kabobs and a dipping sauce served in a hollowed out pineapple.  You can do all kinds of neat kabobs...Strawberries, pineapple, orange, watermelon, banana is a bit hard (they turn brown) - you can do a killer punch in a punch bowl... Use Frozen Fruit punch concentrate (the whole container) a whole 2 liter bottle of ginger ale soda, slice lemons and limes and float them on top of the punch - make sure to squeeze the juice from some of the  limes and lemons - and then right before everyone gets there, scoop some frozen sherbet in the punch - they will love it!  You can take pineapple wedges to decorate the glasses or cups!  Have fun!

We are also having a hawaiian party soon. We are going to have some "regular" BBQ foods, like salad, pasta salad, etc. but then also have some hawaiian themed things, like a big fruit salad, and have lots of pineapples carved out for serving at each table. . .And then coconut shrimp, and mini teriyaki chicken bites. . . . We are going to have cupcake for dessert, decorated with hawaiian flowers and pineapples. . . . .And we are making a big "hawaiian" punch: one with alcohol, and one without!

Here is a fun drink idea:

Lava punch: before pouring your favorite red punch into a plastic cup, squeeze strawberry syrup onto a plate pour poprocks on to a second plate. dip the rim into the syrup and then the pop rocks. fill the cup with punch and take a sip. it's like a volcano erupting in your mouth.

Some fun water games:

splat bat- fill water ballons with water then hit them with bats.

volley ballon- two teams of two stand on oppisite sides of a volley ball net (even if it is pretend) players on each side hold the 2 ends of the towel. then you get a water ballon and one team will serve it. then the other team has to catch it in their towl and launch it back over. keep playing until the ballon breaks.

Fun prize system: when you play the games and some one wins that player or players should get a lei and the one with the most leis at the end of the party should win a cool hawian lamp or some thing cheapy that you get at walmart or target.

coconut bras, authentic hawiaan food, hawiian punch, hawiian music. play limbo and get some fake tikis. if its outside, try putting some sand out and shells. flowers for all the girls to put in their hair.
