How to tighten skateboard trucks?

i bought new trucks for my skateboard (they're royals) of course when i put them on they were loose as h**l. i tried to tighten them but when i did that everytime i tried to push my skateboard around it i could barely balance on my board and it wouldn't go in a straight direction, it would start curving to the right.

how can i tighten my trucks and have my deck move in a straight direction????????

you have it too tightly adjusted, you have to find a good balance.  if you tightened it 3 turns, loosten it 2 turns and go from there. always count the turns of the wrench so you know how to adjust it. no skateboard is gonna go in a strait direction when noones on it, ever.  also you just have to break in the bushings.
