How to tighten skateboard wheels?

I got a friend to fix on some new trucks and he didn't tighten up the wheels enough so when i skate it makes a terrible noise.

How do i tighten them up?

  1. If it's your wheels just get a wrench or pliers and tighten up the nut but just make sure its not to tight because you gotta have room for your bearings to breathe. If it's your bearings that are loose which is very likely the case if your hearing a terrible noise then take your wheel off and flip each side and push the bearing back in using your trucks..Just push down really hard using the axle and the bearing will pop back into place. If that doesnt work then maybe your bearings need to be replaced or could simply use some speed cream or bearing cleaner.

    bone's speed cream is what i always use.

    I also highly recomend ninja brian sumner bearings as well.

    Tip: always keep your bearings and the insides of your wheels clean because it will make things last longer and save you money. Good Luck.
