Question:

How to tighten the brakes on my bmx bike?

I need my brakes tightened on my BMX bike, especially the front ones. I want to do stoppies and stuff but my front brakes arent tightened enough or have enough stopping power to do a stoppie. If anyone has the same bike as mean it might be easier to explain to me. I have a Mongoose AXE bmx bike.

If u could add a video too that would be great.

Thanks

  1. dont do what technical v man says! i seen a kid break his toe doin that. loosen the bolt and tighten up the wire. BUT... to just be able to tap the brake and do a stoppie: look at the brake handle. where the cable comes out there will be 2 nuts. a big one and a small one on top of it. loosen the big one and tighten the small one to the handle. the brakes will be wayyy more sensitive

  2. well if you wanna do stoppies theres always a breakless way of doing them, go slow (dont want to fall on your face) and where your front tire is stick your foot in there

    1-tire

    2-your foot

    3-you

ha break his toe? you dont have to jam your foot in there, and the only way you can get hurt on this is if your going fast, so if your going to try this i recomend going verrry slow

  3. you get the wires near the brakes near the wheels and unloosen the bolt and pull the wire out and then tighten it.

  4. You lossen the thing the holds the cord and pull it a bit further. But I don't know how to make them more sensitive.
