How to tint my skylights without using the tinting film

Try that cellophane that comes in all different colors and cover the opening of the skylight with it. I think you would find it in most craft stores.

I have actually been contemplating doing the same thing, but have resolved to have my local hardware store make some solar screens that will fit into the opening of the sky-light. This way you will still get light into the house without receiving the additional heat accompanying the suns rays. Window Tint will most likely be problematic when trying to get it to properly seal against the plexiglass.

Glass tinting paint. I buy small quantities at my hobby shop but maybe larger places like Home Depot or Lowes sells the actual paint for windows. I do stained glass picture frames that's why the small quantities.
