My dog, Ginger, is one year, old we got her 2 days ago, and she's been a handfull, she's chewed on my siblings stuff animals, my wireless headset, my guitar hero controler wire, pooped in the house, then stepping in it an trecking around the house all in the 4 hours we were gone.

She is submissive dog that afraid of my cat, my other already house trained dog is comfortable with my new dog here.

She acts like a puppy almost. She is very sweet and comforting, but I could really use some help in training her.

Can anyone give me a link specific to my situation and maybe give me a few tips? Thank you.

  2. ok

  3. HI, your dog is adjusting to her new surroundings.  It will take time, and there will be some accidents in the adjusting period.

There are a few things you can do though to help the process along.  You should set up an area of the house where you will leave her while you are not home.  this should be an area that is easy to clean up, and with not much stuff that she can get into.  Leave her heaps of toys to play with and chew.  Also start training her straight away.

Take her for a walk before you go away and leave her, depending on her breed and size, between 20mins for a small dog and 40mins for a large dog should be a good place to start.

  4. try to be with him wherever you will go so it will understand what you want

  5. put everything you dont want her to chew up out of her reach, and when you catch her scold her
