  1. If you find a good answer, let me know...LOL!

It's really hard.  My 6 YO is still extremely picky and has always been.  At 18 months, he was tested for various allergies (including the commonly-allergenic foods) and I told the allergist how picky he was, so I could pretty much safely say he had never eaten strawberries, fish, seafood, etc.  I bemoaned the fact I couldn't get him to eat much, and our allergist said "Maybe there's a reason for that.  The body knows..."

Even now, he won't eat strawberries, but he's just starting on some fish.  And we know he is a highly allergic child - soy, and all nuts.

Just something to think about, if you have a history of allergies in your family.  I think you can usually get them tested at 2 YO, or earlier if there are signs or other evidence (e.g., asthma, which my son has too).

  2. I      to break this to you, but you can't. I have a six year old who is just now starting to eat more. He is eating more since he started kindergarten, b/c the teacher was having him try everything. We just put a variety of things on his plate and hope he likes some of it. I'm afraid when he becomes a teenager I won't be able to get him to stop eating. :) good luck

  3. let daddy show him how..
