  1. You're not going to like this answer, but you need to work with a trainer. You're a cute rider, but you need to stabilize both your hand and your leg before you'll be able to do any real "training". And starting a horse over in a new discipline is a major task. You can't just set up jumps and expect the horse to take them. If you're not confident and skilled, you can create problems like rearing, refusals, and running out.

    The first thing this mare needs to learn is balance and frame. And that's something only a professional can teach her. She also needs a stricter diet. If she's an easy keeper you might want to switch her over to a low-carb feed or cut her grain down a lot. I'd also throw a grazing muzzle on her if she's turned out for hours upon hours. All those sugars and that heaviness make her a founder candidate. And believe me, you don't want to go through that.

  2. lol, she is a little chubby (;

    cute horse though. I would start by free jumping her a little to get her used to it, then start jumping her while you're on her. in the video she looks like shes doing really well over those height of fences. i would try cantering those then if she does well, raise it some. maybe make those cross rails verticals. i dont think that you need a huge two point over those jumps, but when i jump that high for warm ups, i put my hands forward, tip forward, and raise out of the saddle some. not too much, just enough to get off her back. good luck!
