  1. in a week sadly you have no chance to get better, but you will be able to finish and don't worry about your time, you can train after that and do one next month good luck


  2. Daniel, the previous comments are correct, but don't be discouraged! Only effort that is:

      * properly planned;

      * of the right kind;

      * performed consistently;

      * over a period of time

    will permit you to achieve top performance.

    Find good coaching, and stay the course!

  3. Nothing you do now will really improve your speed.  What you can concentrate on though, is determining your splits and thinking through the race in advance.

    Since you don't mention if you've done any training at all over 1 mile, I'm not even sure you can finish 3.1 miles.
