We got a 7 month old Boston-rat terrier mix. he is now 10 months old, from a shelter. We have a crate for him at night and while I'm at school. We walk him right before he goes to bed and in the morning before school and when we get home from school. But we always find he has gone before we get to him. we walk him as much as we can. And when we take him to my dads house he goes whenever where ever. What should I do to train him?!

P.S. He is a shelter dog and they let him go in his cage all the time and then they just cleaned it out.

  1. I suggest a shock collar it teaches the animal it boundaries and when it needs to listen. This only for like training your dog what it should and shouldn't do and don't worry its extremely humane!

    hope this helps!

  2. get a bell, and hang it from the door leading outside.

whenever you take him outside ring the bell as you take him out, after a while he will realize that the bell means he gets to go out and he will start ringing it on his own =]

thats how we trained our three dogs =]
