How to train non-dominant hand

I'm a right-hander with a fairly weak left hand, including punches.

How could I increase the strength of my left hand for harder punches?

Thanks.

  1. work on a heavy bag and your punch power will soon increase but make sure your technique is good as maybe thats why you dont hit so hard because your not throwing punch's properly..naturely one side shouldnt be much stronger than the other but if it is do some weights on both sides with an extra set on your weak side it wont be long before you feel a difference..it could also be confidence try this excercise throw a tennis ball against a wall with your weaker hand and catch it with the same hand repeat this for a few minuites each day increasing the distance until you can throw it equally far with both hands.you will start to think in a more even manner ridding yourself of that bad hand frame of mind..try it it really does work

  2. I agree with "Steely's" answer. To improve strength in a non dominant limb, you must first improve it's coordination. Besides the tennis ball, eat, brush your teeth, etc..... Improve the limbs coordination and overall functionality, then you can then begin to improve it's technique and strength.

  3. same with me, very hard question

  4. Which arm do you jab with?? Are you a southpaw or orthadox?
