How to train your legs to get a better vert..running on the ball of your foot?

when you run you are training your legs of course..but if you ran on ball of your foot wouldn't it be way better especaily for your calves

  1. Yes. It is always best to run on the balls of your feet. If you dont you could be risking injuries like shin splints. Running on the balls of your feet will target more muscles. And if you are competing in track events then thats the key to the best possibe running form.


  2. Be careful, if youre not used to running on the balls of your feet you could do damage to your legs because certain muscles will be working overtime.  For shorter distances this is the key way to run but if youre planning on running a couple of miles like that, I think its a bad idea.
